Hiring from us is easy
Simply call from 9am - 8pm 7 days a week or e-mail us to discuss your requirements. We will then email you a customised rental agreement. Complete and return it to us by email or by post.
Flexibility and choice
Our hire packages are designed to give you flexibility and choice of instruments. We want you to find the sax that suits your requirements. We offer the option to change instruments after the 3 month hire term. This allows you to start on a student level instrument to keep the cost down and upgrade to an intermediate or pro model as you progress or perhaps from an alto to a tenor sax etc. This is ideal for children initially too small to start on a full size alto. They can start on curved soprano and progress to an Alphasax and then perhaps to a Yamaha YAS-280 alto sax as they progress / grow taller. Simply let us know how you are getting on and what you would like to try.
We have over 300 saxophones in stock available for hire including curved sopranos (for children under aged 7/8), Alphasaxes which are ideal for children aged 7-10 (unless they are tall for their age when the alto should be fine), the full range of Yamaha, Yanagisawa, Trevor James, Selmer Reference 54 and some Jupiter, Earlham, Artemis, Esprit, Bauhaus etc.
We also have over 100 other instruments in stock including trumpets, cornets, tenor horns, baritone horns, euphoniums, trombones, tubas, clarinets, flute, oboes etc.
The minimum period of hire is just 3 months and you can then buy it, continue to hire, return it or change instruments.
The rental fee includes everything you need to get started:-
- The instrument itself, tested ready to play
- Carry case
- mouthpiece
- 1.5 strength Rico or Vandoren beginner strength reed - we can supply more if required. If you prefer a different strength just let us know.
- Cork grease
- Neck strap
- Friendly, professional advice by email or phone
Our instruments are all checked and play tested ( using our mouthpiece), so you can be sure your instrument will function exactly as it should.
For instruments other than saxes, i.e brass, or a clarinet for example, accessories differ slightly but these are all detailed on each individual hire form which you can see before you fill it in.
HALF PRICE first lesson available (£14 for an hour rather than £28). Richard will show you how to assemble and look after the instrument and you will be able to play the first 6 notes before you leave! Further lessons are available for £14 per 30 minutes.
